A 58-year-old Brodhead woman is under arrest for drunken driving for the fourth time after being stopped in the town of Newark.

The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy stopped a vehicle driven by Bandi Bender just before 8:00 Wednesday morning near the intersection of South County Highway H and West Laird Road.

Bender displayed several signs of impairment was taken into custody on suspicion of operating while intoxicated, fourth offense.

Bender is expected to make her initial appearance in Rock County Court Thursday afternoon.
