A 36-year-old Janesville man is under arrest on suspicion of a number of charges after being stopped in Janesville for operating while intoxicated early (Friday) morning.
The Rock County 911 Communications Center says a Janesville Police Officer made the initial traffic stop around 12:45 a.m. in the area of River and Racine Streets.
Janesville Police say the driver, 36-year-old Adam Murwin of Janesville displayed signs of intoxication and was in possession of a gun. Officers searched his vehicle and found what they thought was a live grenade so the Dane County Bomb Squad was called into investigate.
While the bomb was determined to be a fake, Murwin was arrested for operating while intoxicated first offense, endangering safety by intoxicated use of a firearm, and possession of THC.
