Beloit Police are releasing the name of the Beloit man who was shot to death the day after Christmas.

Beloit police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Oak Street a little after 7:30 pm on December 26th for a report of shots fired.

Officers found two victims suffering from injuries sustained from gunfire.

Police say 32-year-old Gregory X. Ashford died, but a female victim is expected to make a full recovery.

The City of Beloit says police are still actively investigating this homicide and detectives are pursuing all leads and review all evidence to ensure the individual or individuals responsible are brought to justice.
