Bond is set a one-thousand-dollars for a man and woman accused of leaving three young children alone in a Janesville apartment. Prosecutors say Janesville police responded to an apartment early on February 23rd in the 26-hundred block of Harvard, where a small child was found standing in the doorway. The child was only in his pajama pants, and there were two other young children sleeping in a bunk bed in one of the bedrooms, but no adults were present. Police learned that 25-year-old Brittney Jackson of Rockford, Illinois, and her boyfriend, 30-year-old Dionte Valentino Weeks-Finch of Janesville, had gone to a laundromat near North Crosby and Harvard Drive to do a load of laundry while the kids were asleep, and that they had been gone for around 20 minutes. The children left alone are ages 3, 4 and 6. Jackson and Weeks-Finch were arrested on multiple charges of neglecting a child.
