Whitey Morgan, lead man in front of the band Whitey Morgan & The 78s, joins Crossroads to chat with Tyler about the band’s three latest singles that are all produced by Shooter Jennings, Waylon’s son. Whitey and Tyler also cover what the band has been up to since the last album Hard Times and White Lines was released back in 2018, that includes a few headline shows at The Ryman, as well as Whitey’s debut on the Opry stage.

It’s been six years since the last album, so is another in the works from the 78s? Or just a continued string of singles being released every few weeks? And with Whitey wanting to take the 78s’ sound in an ever so slightly different direction, what has inspired these latest singles and forthcoming music? Social Distortion, Bob Seger and David Allen Coe fans, listen up…

Songs featured: Turn Up The Bottle (Born, Raised & LIVE From Flint, 2014), Somewhere Along The Way (latest single, 2025) and Sinner (Honky Tonks and Cheap Motels, 2008)
