The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office is releasing the name of the Milton woman who was found dead inside a home on the 800 block of Ansley Avenue following a fire early Friday morning.

Lakeside Fire Rescue Chief Randy Pickering said a person delivering newspapers calls 911 just after 4:00 a.m. after observing flames inside the home on Milton’s near west side.

Pickering says first responders were on scene within minutes and made entry into the home where they found 67-year-old Angela Stewart deceased.

The Medical Examiner says an autopsy was conducted on Saturday and Stewart’s cause and manner of death are still pending.
