Focusing on Women’s Health: A Special Women’s Health Month Event

Please join us for this FREE Women’s Health Event!
Edgerton Hospital & Health Services invites women of all ages to attend a special Women’s Health Month Event on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at Edgerton Hospital.

This educational and empowering program will feature expert-led discussions focused on prevention, wellness, mental health, nutrition, and physical wellbeing. Designed to provide practical tools and trusted medical guidance, the event supports women’s health at every stage of life.

*A nutritious lunch and gift bags will be provided to attendees.

Women’s Health Overview
Presenter: Binita Chandran, MD – Family Medicine Physician

Dr. Chandran will discuss:

Women’s unique health needs across the lifespan

Dietary considerations and nutritional guidance

Vitamins and supplements: what’s helpful vs. hype

Common lab tests and understanding what your results mean

Mental Health & Emotional Wellbeing
Presenter: Alicia Wolf, MSW, APSW – Senior Life Solutions Therapist

The impact of stress and “invisible labor” on women’s mental health

Practical strategies for managing emotional load and burnout

Mental health resources and support available through EHHS

Breast & Bone Health / Diagnostic Imaging
Presenters: Dawn Main, BS, RT(R)(CT)(MR), ARRT – Director of Radiology/Medical Imaging & Cora Kienbaum, RT(R)(ARRT) – Radiologic Technologist

This session will cover:

Breast health and the importance of early detection

3D mammography technology and screening guidelines

Bone density testing and osteoporosis awareness

Exercise & Women’s Health
Presenter: Kelsey Grove, MS, ACSM-CEP – Director of Cardiopulmonary/RT/Sleep

Participants will learn about:

Cardiovascular health considerations unique to women

Benefits of regular physical activity

Safe, effective exercise strategies for all fitness levels

Balance, Strength & Functional Wellness
Presenters: Angie Hagen, OTR, CLT – Director of Rehabilitation/PT/OT/Speech & Kelsey Olson, PT, DPT, CSRS – Physical Therapist

This presentation will focus on:

The importance of strength and weight training for women

Balance and flexibility for injury prevention

Pilates and core stability

Pelvic health and incontinence awareness
