On May 2 Kelsey suffered an intracranial hemorrhage (brain aneurysm) resulting in a stroke at only 33 years old. She underwent emergency brain surgery to remove the bleeding and repair the aneurysm. The incident resulted in left sided paralysis and weakness. Kelsey was in the ICU in Rockford for 3 weeks and then at a rehabilitation facility for 4 weeks to learn to walk and regain use of the left arm. She is currently living with her parents until she is physically able to return to return to home and to work at Woodman’s Corporate Office. She is the sole income in her household and needs help with finances at her home, as well as therapy and home modifications.
