Janesville fire officials are investigating the cause of a house fire on the city’s northwest side.  Firefighters responded to the single family home in the 800 block of North Washington Street a little after 2:00 a.m. Friday.  Officials say the fire appears to have started in the kitchen.  No one was reported hurt.  The home is currently uninhabitable.  The Red Cross is helping the family.
