A Brodhead man faces felony OWI charges after his arrest Friday afternoon.

A Rock County sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch and the driver slumped over behind the wheel near the intersection of Highway 81 and County T in the town of Avon.

The sheriff’s office says the driver, John Meier, 35, showed signs of impairment and was arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated. A conviction would be his fourth, making it a felony.

He’s due in court Monday afternoon.
