Beloit Police are investigating an incident at a Beloit school to determine if a crime occurred.

According to the agenda for a special Board of Education meeting Monday night, the board will go into closed session to, “consider the disciplinary data and the investigation of charges against a specific person, which if discussed in public, would be likely to have a substantial adverse effect upon the reputation of any person involved in such investigation.”

A City of Beloit spokesperson says the investigation is in the early stages, so there is not a lot to share including when the incident is alleged to have occurred or at what school. They did say that there are NO allegations of sexual misconduct.

The Rock County District Attorney’s Office says nobody has been referred to them for charges yet, but that they are aware of the investigation in Beloit.

Big Radio has filed an open records request with the School District of Beloit in an attempt to get more information.
