Madison County takes the Stoughton Trailers Stage on Friday August 12th from 7:30pm to 11:30pm. Madison County is a seven-piece country show band based out of Madison, WI. They have evolved their high-energy engaging show over the years to stay fresh and unique. They have been voted Local Group of the Year nine years in a row at the Q106 MCMA (Madison Country Music Awards), Favorite Local Group at the 96.3 Star Country Awards, Country Artist of the Year at the MAMA Awards (Madison Area Music Association), People’s Choice Award Winner for 6 years at the WAMI Awards (Wisconsin Area Music Industry), Isthmus Readers Favorite Local Country Band, and Madison Magazine’s Madison BEST Local Band and Country Band, six years running.
Over the years, Madison County has released three full CDs and been privileged to share the stage with many national artists over the years, including, Little Big Town, Sugarland, Montgomery-Gentry, Bake Shelton, Brantley Gilbert, Trace Adkins, Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Jake Owen, Thomas Rhett, Toby Keith, Travis Tritt, Gary Alan, Love and Theft, Neal McCoy, Rascal Flatts, Justin Moore, Chris Cagle, Phil Vassar, Bellamy Brothers, Joe Diffie, Dwight Yoakum, David Allan Coe and Alan Jackson.
On Saturday night, August 13th, SuperTuesday will rock the Stoughton Trailers stage from 7:30pm to 11:30pm. Originally formed in 1996 as a four piece original alt-rock band, they cut their teeth performing around Madison at influential house parties, barns and loading docks. While fine-tuning their music and good-times skills, they eventually evolved into SuperTuesday in 1998 and they’ve been hosting some of the largest parties around Southern Wisconsin for…awhile.
During that time, they’ve appeared in commercials, played in stadiums and coliseums, and had the opportunity to open for national artists such as Old Dominion, Thompson Square, Gloriana, Phil Vasser, Jessica Andrews, Sawyer Brown, Emerson Drive, Kip Winger, the BoDeans, and even Tommy Tutone (you can reach him at 867-5309).
Today, SuperTuesday takes their cues from artists like Bon Jovi, Brothers Osborne, Journey, Michael Jackson, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan, Billy Idol, Pat Benatar, Pitbull, Poison, Bruno Mars, Guns N Roses, and Luke Combs. Now they’re bringing their drink-raising, dance-a-billy, funfest skills to the next level with tour level, fully synchronized lighting and video show and performances that are more fun than a barrel of monkeys.
In addition to the great musical acts, Covered Bridge Days features activities at many different locations throughout Brodhead. The many long-standing Covered Bridge Days activities include Beer Garden, Vendor Market on the Downtown Square, Kids’ Fun Run, Wildflower Art Festival, Horse Drawn Wagon Rides, Garden Club Display, Kelch Museum and Gypsy Air Tours, Pontoon Rides, Tractor Pull, Display & Drive, Model A Antique Car Display and Classic Car Show, Food Stands, Softball Tournament, Bean Bag Tournament, Chicken BBQ, Wildflower Walk and much more!
