Rev. Forrest Wells recently returned from the Middle East where he participated in the interviewing of 14 people from various and conflicting perspectives. He will unpack some of the history of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict and give current perspectives gained from his visit after the October 7th Hamas attack and the resulting Gaza war. The presentation will also include opportunity for group conversation and questions. The general format of the evening will include:
· A historical Overview of the birth of the modern nation of Israel
· “What is Truth?” Understanding the complexities of the current reality in the words of people living there
· Prospects for Peace- Optimism or wishful thinking
· Q&A and group conversation
